Ashley and Family

This particular shoot I had been looking forward to for a loooong time... scheduled back in April, I had to wait months to capture these pictures of wonderful Ashley and her family Saturday at her parent's beautiful home! Connected through my cousin, Ashley and her husband and boys were literally lifesavers- taking me in for several weekends and offering their home as a home away from home- while I was living in Australia in the fall of 2009. This is definitely crossing the "cheese-ball" line, but they will always hold a special place in my heart! :) I am so thankful for them and I was so glad to get to spend some time with them and the extended family. Such a beautiful, loving family- and look how great they all look, made my job easy!

Birthday Girls in the Gorge

These girls have spunk. LOTS of spunk! I LOVED Shelli's idea of birthday pictures of her girls, 4 and 7 years old, complete with a huge bundle of birthday balloons. Lots of smiles and accidental (possibly purposeful?) waterfall pool swimming made for a fantastic shoot in the gorge last week! And do you think modeling could be in their future? They were not camera shy at all!

Nikki and Mike- July 8th, 2011

You should have seen the beaming smile on my face when Nikki told me that she wanted me to photograph her and Mike's wedding! Nikki and I went through nursing school together and were roommates our last year- she is truly someone I treasure! I am so happy she found Mike, it didn't take me long to see that he is sweet as pie and completely adores her! What an incredible honor to get to capture their wedding day :) Nikki and Mike were married at the Admiral Kidd Club in San Diego and it was GORGEOUS (Despite the about 500 degree temp already by the 10 am ceremony start time)! Oh, and did I mention that Nikki designed her own dress? "East meets West" she calls it. I love it! Here are my favorites from the day...Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Morstad!

Oh, you know... just gettin' hitched with the San Diego skyline in the background and sailboats sailing by, no big deal... :)

A special shout out to the mother of the bride and her amazing style... look at her and her cute sunglasses!

I had to sneak this one in, obviously not taken by me, but by Nikki's maid of honor with my second cam... You wont often find pictures of me on here, but I couldn't resist this one with my two dear
friends!

The reception tables were named after San Diego beaches... I of course picked my two favorites to feature! Well done on all the details... such a beautiful wedding and reception!

Aren't they adorable?!! This one is one of my favorites!

Yep, the dreaded cake in the face... I absolutely LOVE the third picture here of their mug shot wiping off their faces!

Ok, check out the tall ones in the back- arms crossed and arms behind their back as if saying, "not a chance in the world I'm catching that thing!"

The "Getaway Car" window got a little smudged, but how cute is Nikki through the window reading "Hi, I'm Mrs. Morstad?!" I love it!
