Brighlyn and Taylor. Taylor and Brighlyn. These two go together like peanut butter and jelly! My stunning cousin has found her perfect match, and I am SO happy and excited for her! Brighlyn, a southern California native, met Taylor through mutual friends when he moved from Washington to attend USC. They clicked right away, and I think Brighlyn has always known that he was for her. They dated until Brighlyn moved to Arizona, where they drifted apart. After graduation, Taylor moved back to the Seattle area, and Brighlyn started her career in Tucson.
After a few years of absence from each others lives, Brighlyn made a trip up to Washington the summer of 2011 to reconnect with him. Later that year, a job opportunity came and Brighlyn asked Taylor, "If I move up there, do you think we will date?" His answer was, "Possibly." It was a good enough answer for her, and on Christmas day my gutsy raised-on-the-beach cousin moved to cold rainy Seattle in the dead of winter to get her man! A few weeks later they were dating, and in April he decided to "put a ring on it!"
Gosh I just love them! Meeting him for the first time this last weekend, my sister and I immediately stood there in awe watching them together. "Um, yes. This just works," we both said. We could immediately see what Brighlyn has always know. While walking home from diner following this engagement shoot, one turned to the other and said, "Im so lucky I get to marry my best friend!" to which the other replied, "I know! And you've always been my best friend!" Hahaha barf, right? Just kidding, aren't they precious?! Love you Bri Bri and welcome to the family Taylor, we can't wait till its official in October!
